Costa Almeria

The Costa Almería until recently remained one of the more isolated costas. You can see this today in the vast areas of uncultivated land, and unspoilt coastal fishing villages that in many other costas have turned into large tourist towns.

However with improved road links and a well supported airport, the Costa Almería now offers some of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of southern Spain whilst having good infrastructure and facilities for those looking to live, work, holiday or just relax.

Property prices have risen steadily over the last few years, and with increased local investment in facilities and local planning regulations restricting growth, investors and holiday home seekers alike are seeing the value of their property continue to rise.

The Costa Almería enjoys a microclimate, making it the garden of Spain. Many of the fruit and vegetables you buy in your local supermarket are grown on the Costa Almería.

With over 320 days of sunshine a year and an average year-round temperature of 19°C, it really does offer an ideal escape from the winter blues.

North of Almería you will find the skiing resorts of the Sierra Nevada, offering great snow from around November to March. You could even find yourself skiing in the morning and relaxing on the beach in the afternoon. For those who prefer their sporting activities a little warmer, the Costa Almería offers many good golf courses, as well as marinas providing for every kind of water sport.

Cabo de Gato is the national park of Almería, and offers a myriad of unspoilt beaches and small white villages, the perfect place to escape and really slow the pace down.
