Costa Calida
The
Costa Calida is situated in the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula.
To the north lies the Costa Blanca and to the south lies the Costa
de Almeria with over 200 kilometres of coastline.
The perfect Mediterranean climate ensures at least 320 days of sun
per year.
Temperatures range between 12 - 22°C in winter and in summer
temperatures vary between 18 - 35°C maximum making the average
annual temperature 18°C. The natural beauty of the Mar Menor,
with the flamingos wading in the salt lakes makes this area a remarkable
place to live
The
Mar Menor, Europe's largest salt water lagoon, over 170 square kilometres
of shallow water surrounded by the districts of El Carmolí,
San Javier, Los Alcazares and La Manga.
On the shores of the Mar Menor there are plenty of small towns with
a traditional flavour to them. Here you can enjoy a more relaxed
Spanish way of life and soak up the perfect climate.
This area is truly beautiful and still retains much of the Spanish
culture that in other parts of Spain is long gone.
La Manga Club with three 18-hole courses is one of Spain’s
great resorts. The "strip" as its known is simply fabulous
and properties here are well sought after. The properties are set
amongst thousands of palm trees and lemon groves.
La Manga is famous as it is the only place in the world where you
can see two seas, The Mediterranean and the Mar Menor, beautiful
and still retains much of the Spanish culture that in other parts
of Spain is long gone.
